The return of the crisp air is truly disheartening. Autumn is officially here and I’m not ready for it. No longer can I just pop on a vest, a pair of jeans and some sandals and then walk out the door. Nor am I ready to give up on wearing this Off The Shoulder dress. I now have to think about staying warm. Coats, jumpers, boots. Ugh, I hate the cold.
I’m not ready to give up on off the shoulder clothing. They possess a certain je ne sais quoi. A slight reveal of the décolletage oozes sexiness and elegance. Recently, I’ve found myself leaning towards this style more and more. I’ve lost count of the amount of clothing I have of this style. I’m yet to find a way to incorporate them into my A/W wardrobe.
I got this black number from Zara recently and I absolutely love it! It’s available in a denim blue as well and I’ve been trying my hardest to not get it. As the weather is still somewhat warm, I got away with wear it with no tights and a coat draped over my shoulders You know, like the fashion editors do it. Since fracturing my elbow, I’ve had more of an excuse to dress this way. My daughter thinks I look silly but who cares.
The off the shoulder dress is my style down to a Tee. It is generous enough to hide my mum tum, black because who does like black clothing and it has pockets. As the weather gets colder, I see myself pairing with with a pair of boots and a massive coat to keep warm. But for now, I’ve gone for something simple.
P.S I now have a blogging buddy, so expect to see more outfit posts. Visit her blog to see the pictures I took of her ‘ off duty look’.
